Data stored on your device

Your phrases, images, themes, keyboard settings, and backup files are stored on your device. The app and keyboard extension use a shared on-device container so the keyboard can read saved content when you enable Allow Full Access. This content may be included in iOS device backups under your device settings. You can remove saved content in the app and manage device backups through iOS.

Typing and translation

Ordinary typing, phrase insertion, and image use do not send your text or images to the developer's server. On-device translation does not send text to Google. If you choose online translation, or automatic mode cannot translate on the device and falls back online, the text in the translation tool and selected languages are sent over HTTPS to Google Cloud Translation for the result. Online translation requires Allow Full Access.

Purchases and access

Trials and payments are handled by the Apple App Store. ThisKey uses StoreKit entitlements to check whether your trial, annual plan, or lifetime purchase is active. The app does not store payment-card numbers. You can manage or cancel renewal in Apple Settings.
